Edible Witch's Black Salt

This is an edible Witch's Black Salt that use can when you need to banish self-doubt and negativity. Unlike typical witch's black salt which you cannot eat, this salt is made to be used in recipes and add magic to your meals.

Witch's black salt is typically not edible and is made from a combination of ashes, charcoal, and spices. However, this recipe uses black sesame seeds to darken the salt. Sesame seeds are also wonderfully magical as they bring good fortune and protection. The magical properties of sesame seeds combined with the purification from the salt makes a potent banishing salt. You can add this salt to your food to help overcome doubt and negativity. If possible, make this salt during the waning moon.

  • Black Sesame Seeds

  • Salt

  • Mortar and Pestle

1. Mix together salt and seeds.

*Note: I use about twice as many seeds to salt. However, you can increase or decrease this ratio as you like.

2. Use a mortar and pestle to grind the salt and seeds together until they are a consistency you like. As you grind up the ingredients, set your intentions on the magical properties of the mixture.

"By salt and seed protect and banish,

Release self-doubt, let worries vanish."

  • seasoning for chicken

  • soba noodle topping

  • mixed in with Japanese style rice balls

  • added flavor for hummus

  • combined with miso or ginger salad dressings

  • sprinkled on edamame

This is so awesome! As long as I've been studying, I've never thought to have an edible witches black salt before! And I tell ya, I'm the cook for my house and there's someone here that definitely needs this in their food! lol
