Soothing Floral Bath Soak

Restore your energy with this fresh flower bath soak. Use this spell when you need to recover from deep-buried tensions and worries. This bath soak is extremely simple to make. All you need is fresh flowers and coarse sea salt. Just make sure to choose flowers that are safe for your skin. Below is a suggestion of some good flowers to choose.

  • fresh flowers: make sure to choose flowers that are safe for skin contact. some good choices are marigolds, sunflowers, roses, chamomile, lavender, calendula, jasmine *note that everyone reacts differently to botanicals, so even though the above list is generally non-irritating to the skin, some people may still have a reaction

  • coarse sea salt

  • dried flowers are optional

  • mortar and pestle

1. Choose which botanicals you will use. You can make a mix of both fresh and dry flowers or use only fresh flowers. For this recipe, I used a combination of fresh chamomile, fresh marigold, and dried calendula.

2. Add your flowers to the sea salt.

3. Use the mortar and pestle to grind up the flowers in the sea salt. Do not make the salt too fine. If you like, you can also leave some flowers whole. They won't release as many oils, but they will look very beautiful.

Use immediately or store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. It should keep refrigerated for several days.

Recite the incantation and let yourself come to peace with those old worries. Try to focus on being present in this wonderful, relaxing moment.

"Flowery magic into water steep

& soothe the tensions buried deep

beneath the surface of my soul,

that time again does overflow".
